93 325is - NEED STYLING OPINIONS

i was just given a red 1993 325is. i am fairly new to the world of euro tuning, so i figured i would need some experienced opinions on how to make this car look nice. i want to change some things (bumpers, wheels). would putting an M3 bumper in front be alright, or is that kind of a tacky/overdone thing to do? it came lowered on 18" wheels, but i'm thinking of going with 17's with a deep offset...i am somewhat a fan of the JDM styling and sort of want to replicate that kind of style with this car--if that makes any sense. please give me some advice...thanks
