I picked up a '86 Jetta Deluxe Wolfsburg for a rediculous price and have been slowing fixing and upgrading things here and there.  I have found a Water-cooled club in St Louis, but are mostly later model owners and I am the lone Mk2 owner.

I know the CIS-E is a bit limited on upgrades.  I have a header and high-flow cat and muffler for exhaust.  Also, I picked up a MSD 6AL box for a great price and installed it.  Would you suggest a camshaft upgrade or hold out for a 16v swap?

Hold outfor a 16v...much more options for upgrades...you might also want to skip out of the CIS-E boat...keep the fuel pump though!
