What are the best tires for the best price? Right now I have Michelin Pilot sports.

Since you are asking a question that will bring flaming balls of death on you, I'll start it off. First, what size tires are you looking for? Are you looking for some to go on custom wheels that will only be used in the Summer? Are they for extreme (track) performance, or street performance? Or, are you looking for gas mileage? Finally, do you have a personal preference in tires? For my S-10, the Firestone Firehawk SS20 is the best tire I've ever ran on it. On my Golf with a stock suspension, the Michelin Hydro-Edge does awfully well. And for my wife's mini-van, the Goodyear Viva II Touring tire they sell at Wal-Mart is a great, cheap tire.
Answer the questions above and you'll find more help.

The tires size I need is: 225/40ZR18. I do not go to the track, but I do drive my 2003 GTI hard and I take corners very fast. It also rains where I live all the time and I need a good tire in the rain. It never snows, so I use summer tires all year round and road noise does not bother me. I am used to it.
