1997 golf GL 4 door automatic

my back right speaker and front left speakers dont work.i checked the wires on the back right speaker and it was cut so i put it back together but still no sound.
i have no idea what to do with it.also my alarm goes off by itself whenever it feels like it.i used my key to to unlock the car but the alarm wont shut off so i just disconnected the battery.i left it alone for a day and it was fine but still i dont want it to go off again cause it went off while i was driving before as well.if theres no tips to fix it can anybody just tell me how to disarm it? anything would help cause im sick of walking to work heh    

It sounds like something is short to ground, Check the wiring diagrams on a Bently book or Haynes, trace them from the fuses to the components (radio) (alarm),and to the speakers, do also a continuity check to make sure theres is power goinf to the speakers, Ins pect the speaker itself maybe its blown. Well pretty much do a trace of the wiring. If any more help needed let me know.  

thanks ill try it out and get you back as soon as i finish. oh yeah umm..you know when you take off the panel where the seat belts are? theres the wires for the speakers, the blue one for the central air locking and theres also a red one.is that the alarm one?if so what would happen if i pulled them out from the drivers and passengers side?  

I beleived looking at this diagram the red wire is power to the actuator of the central locking, Let me know if the wire is straight red or black/red, green/red or what ever color stripe has. By the way check the fuses an relays to make sure nothing is melted or missing.  

the wire is straight red.the fuses are fine im looking at my chilton book at some fuses in the book that are missing are missing in mines so i guess thats okay. it just says " not in use".other than that theres no missing or melted fuses.
