hey i was wondering what kinda swaps would be possible for a gl i have, im thinkin 1.8 t or if possible, vr6
im new to this vw stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated

I would go with the VR6. I got one 97 and that is what i am planing to do. Or get a turbo kit fof your 2.0, but you may need pistons valves and cam.The VR6 swap may cost you about $1500 just to get the swap nothing done to the engine.........

will the vr6 fit?? and will it be able to bolt up to my tranny, or will i have to get a vr6 tranny?

i was told it will bolt straight to your stock transmission. would the vr6 or the 1.8t be cheaper to swap.
