Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go? Seriously, what type of mods are you talking about? Here's some ideas:

Interior - gauge faces, chrome/woodgrain trim pieces, shifter knobs, new seats (not small, but very simple to replace).

Exterior - window tint, smoked lights, LEDs, exhaust tips.

Performance - chip tune, cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, wheels & tires (exhaust & wheels not small, but again very simple to replace barring rusted bolts).

Outside of these items, it starts getting pretty expensive, especially when you get into coilovers, forced induction (turbos & superchargers), custom paint & body work and other mods. The fun factor is inversely proportional to the depth of your wallet. Hope I've helped!

ok, now referring to the co intake, does the GLI already coming with a small turbo make it to where an intake is pointless, because i haven't been able to find an aem intake for the GLI for the 06 year and i'd like to stay with a good brand seeing as it did well for my old honda.

Well there's Neuspeed w/ cold air option, Evoms is what i have, ATP as well, APR i Went to the AEM website and they have an intake as well.

G/L with purchase read forums like Vwvortex to give you an idea of quality, performance, and look in the end is what you want remember that.
