The last time I heard this clicking noise from my engine I just needed to put in a little oil, it's now about a month later and the clicking is back, I've checked the oil and can't seem to pin it! I've read on here that the clicking sound is usually normal, but I don't trust it. Help?

Which engine? Fromm what part of the engine bay does it seem to be coming?

probably timing chain chatter. especially if its the vr6. thicker oil will help.
01 gti vr6 - full exhaust - ice box intake
